The sun was out in the morning so I went down to Hot Copse to see if the bluebells were out. Yes they were! The wood looked amazing - I was not the only person wandering around with a camera in the sun! It is difficult to capture how blue they look in a photo - some people process them afterwards and saturate the blue but I think that makes them look unnatural. Bluebells are one of the signs of an Ancient Semi Natural Woodland. It takes 5-7 years from seed to flower and if the leaves are walked on and crushed they struggle to recover. Over half the worlds bluebells are found in the UK! So take pictures but dont pick them, dig them up or walk on them!
