This morning I went over to Buxted to assess a wood pasture with Paul. He tests me on my wildflower id all the time so its always a bit nerve racking! Saw this mouse ear hawkweed (which is very recognisable as it has a particular lemon colour rather than orange!). Th dandelion family are a nightmare to identify! Lovely walk around the wood pasture but there is a huge amount of bracken which really needs to be dealt with. Then in the evening I went on a bat survey - luckily it was not far from home. No bat activity though - seems a shame to knock this house down but it is on a big bit of land with lovely views so I guess someone is going to build a mansion!
