Crossbills

Yesterday I submitted another assignment - only 2 more to go!

Today we went to RSPB Farnham and met up with some birdwatchers. They were great and showed us what they had found - including some crossbills ( see photo - not mine!). I have always wanted to see them - they eat the seeds from pine cones which is why they have such strange shaped bills. But also what amazing colouring they don't look like UK birds.

Then we went into Farnham - we saw a pub that looked nice and sat outside and ordered a drink - amazing how something so simple felt so good!
