After a student night out last night we all set off at 9am to Knepp estateKnepp Wildland — Knepp Castle Estate (kneppestate.co.uk). They have been rewilding their 3500 acre estate for 20 years and it looks nothing like the arable farm that it started out as! Robin and I have been to Knepp camping about 3 times - we are going again at Easter and really looking forward to it. Today we split into groups and walked around - for 5 hours! It is probably the muddiest place that I have been for a long time, one reason they moved away from farming is that the land is sticky clay and really difficult! We had a great time. There are so many storks there and they are all setting up nests - not a great picture but you can see the nest material in his beak. We saw the pig digging up the earth looking for worms, what a great job she was doing disturbing all the soil. And we saw longhorns, red deer, roe deer, ponies and a rabbit! So we ticked all the boxes and had a great time! Highly recommend that you all visit.
