The call from Tom came at 01:45. Luckily I had everything ready to go so I leapt in the car and set off. I left Robin with Chris and Ella - they all went to see Mum and Dorothy and had a great time - then joined me later in Brighton. I got to the house just before 5 and Laura was already having contractions every 2 and a half minutes!! They left the house about 530 and I settled down to try and get some rest before Libby woke up. At 6am Tom contacted me - the baby was there - they had just 10 minutes in the hospital before she turned up - cutting it a bit fine but mother and baby all good - weighing in at 7.5 lbs. Libby got up at about 8 and we had a great morning together - I am not sure that I should be put in charge of sorting out toddler's hair - more practice on that definitely needed but apart from that all good! Tom and Laura and baby came back home about 1:15 - by that time Chris, Ella and Robin were there as well, so we all had a little cuddle and then left - a bit of peace and quiet for Tom and Laura and some time for Libby to get to know her new baby sister. Her name is Freya Ruth Ottilie Mumford and she is perfect!
