At last I submitted my second to last assignment - the next one is released on Thursday so I have a whole day without assignments! We went for another long walk this afternoon. We saw this oak marble gall, they are hosting a wasp larvae which should emerge in autumn, we will keep an eye out for them.
We also passed the very large oak, it came down in the storms a few months ago and it has been gradually chain sawed into smaller and smaller pieces - it looks like they can finally start taking some of it away.
The we met Lynne and Dave for a drink in the Lord Raglan - we haven't been into here for a long time but its nice and they have a great covered out door area (plus some of the usual shed type structures!)
