Spring is coming!

A piece of research was published very recently around the importance of species diversity for human well being in Europe. It really supports the current proposals around Environmental Land Management schemes - public money for public goods. This has the concept of cultural services - paying farmers for wildlife conservation and biodiversity that will benefit the public. Its good to have research that proves it is worthwhile and valuable. As you know I have recently become a mad bird lady - feeders, binoculars etc - I absolutely love it.

Having flowers in the garden and the house also has the same effect for me - they bring me joy. (I haven't seen any research on that so you will have to trust me!). There are more birds about, the daffodils are coming up - its almost spring - hurrah!!
