10 minutes

Farnham today - not that many people which is strange as the weather is amazing. I saw a few pairs of chaffinches today - they are very common but I havent seen them around Wokingham at all so I was excited to see them. I spent some time standing still and looking at the heather - I havent seen any ground nesting birds yet and I am not sure what to look for. But today I did see small birds flying in and out of the heather - so maybe they are there! David Attenborough suggested that we all stand still for 10 minutes in nature Take the David Attenborough 10-Minute Challenge - World Fitness Blog : Leading Global Bloggers and see what happens. I agree with him, if we walk through we miss so much - just standing or sitting still for 10 minutes (ideally with noone else around!) and you will be amazed at what you see and hear.
