Sunday 27th February 2022

Mum has sponsored a tree at Kew in memory of Dad. It has only recently been sorted out so today we went over to Kew with Mum and Anne, Derek and Alex to have lunch and take a look at the tree.

Lunch was great but Mum did not like the plantain - so she stole Robins chips instead! We wondered off to find the tree - it is in a really good position, behind the Rose garden and next to a path, in a group of much larger pines. Very close to the Victoria Gate entrance. The only problem was that the storms have knocked it off centre a bit, so in all the photos someone is holding the tree up vertically (see Robin above!). Mum is going to write to Kew and ask them to straighten it up a bit!

It was a lovely day, such a blue sky, everyone was out and about in Kew! I haven't been there at this time of year, all the daffodils and crocuss were out. It was a sea of yellow and purple - a wonderful sight. We must go there more often this year.
