Newt!

Rowan and I went over to Combe Mill for an education session with Europa School. It is a state international school and we had the Year 8 French class. They were split into three groups and we had an hour with each group.

As ever they loved the pond dipping best. The first group caught a dead toad, lots of toad spawn, a small fish, lots of snails and a newt! It was a common newt and very exciting to see it. The other groups weren't so lucky but they still had a great time.

Afterwards we went back to Northleach for Ed Bonn's leaving drinks. I did my work experience with Ed last year and it is sad to see him go, but we discovered that he will be doing lots of work with Farm Ed - so we will definitely be seeing him again soon! Small world!
