Back in the lab today and I am getting better - down to 45 minutes a pot!
Then we had our Ecological Consultancy lecture. I find it really interesting - maybe something that I can do in future? Our first assignment is about bat surveys so lots of information on that today - this is a picture of a Bechstein's bat - one of the rarest in the UK. There is good legislation in place to protect bats (and other animals) but it rarely seems to go to court so I am not sure that it is really a deterrent. We are off to practice a survey next week - looking forward to that!
After the survey I drove down to Brighton - Libby has chickenpox, Tom is not well and Laura needs to get to work - so I am looking after Libby tomorrow. Hurrah!!
