Bats again

Bats again today but this time a transect so I get to walk around strange fields in the night with just a small torch! The place is a menagery - horses in all the fields. A couple of pigs that came to say hello. 10 goats that were my best friends for about 5 minutes until they realised that I had no food! Some lovely sheep - isnt he cute - what a face! But the owner has an 11 month old mastiff - probably weighs about 5 stone (at least) that is not under control. She brought is out on a lead to see me and it immediately broke free from her and was running around like a loony! She couldnt hold it as it was too strong - took her about 5 minutes to sort this out - all the while saying - he is only a puppy, he wont hurt. Bloody terrifying! The rest of the night was uneventful- quite a lot of bats!
