We walked around the Combe Mill area Combe Mill – a place to discover today. We are going to use this for school visits and our first one will be in March. At the moment it needs some work! It was used before for education but lack of use over the last few years has meant that nature has taken back over! We need to sort the pond out on the left so that the children can go pond dipping. We met someone there who says that in spring the pond is full of frogs and tadpoles so that is really great. The other area is a seating area for he children - its a bit hard to imagine at the moment!

We have a Duke of Edinburgh group from Marlborough school that will help us to work on this - we think we may need to find some additional volunteers as well! The mill is owned by Blenheim and they estate managers have been really positive and helpful about us using their land. Great to work with people that are positive about children's education in nature.

I will post after pictures in a few months!
