This was our first guided walk with the Cotswolds Wardens. We showed them the River Evenlode, the bund in the picture which is part of the Natural Flood Management Scheme and some nutrient retention ponds. There were about 15 people, all local, so they had a lot of questions!! It was a lovely day and the bluebells also looked fantastic. We were lucky enough to run into Henry Astor who manages Bruern in the farm shop, so he also gave a short talk on what he is doing with heritage barley - I was very excited to hear that they will soon be selling Bruern beer! We also had a short talk from the sheep owner, who picked up the smallest lamb and handed t to Rowan - I think she would have taken it away in her handbag if she could have!! Very successful and we have been asked to run another walk for a different group and contribute an article to a local magazine.
