Bonfire!

What an amazing experience - you really have to experience it - difficult to describe. Thousands of people dressed up for their bonfire societies on the streets of Lewes. Where did they all come from! Where did the costumes come from? How does noone get hurt! It was noisy, wet (weather wasnt great!) joyous, amazing and I loved it. Robin was processing all night so I didnt get to see too much of him and only he was allowed to the firesite so I missed that bit. I stayed in Cliffe high street so I only saw Cliffe bonfire society but that was enough - its overwhelming! I hope some of the family can come next year it would be great to share it with them. Robin got back about 11.30 and he was literally shellshocked! What a night!
