Breadmaking

Saturday 18th February 2023

We drove to Anne's yesterday afternoon as today we have a breadmaking course with Anne, Derek, Alex and Mum in Warwick. It was a full day sourdough course with Jess Mooney Bread Making & Sourdough Classes & Courses | Bread for Life. We made sourdough bread (not as difficult as I thought), bagels (too complicated what with the boiling and then baking), naan bread (which was really good) and the star of the show delicious focaccia. The dough for the focaccia was so wet that without Jess being there to reassure us we would all have added much too much flour! A lovely lunch was provided as well. We all went home with too much bread - busy working out what we could freeze for another day! I will definitely make the focaccia again - not sure about the rest. We got home and had curry and naan bread to dinner!
