Burgos

Saturday 4th June 2022 Day 14

Actually this is Ages church at 6am, it looked so pretty. It was quite dark and foggy so we spent some of the morning peering at trees and stones to see if we could find the yellow Camino arrow!!

We found our way and walked into Burgos about 11 which is pretty good for us for 24km. My foot feels ok but still being careful. We found this amazing outdoor gym, never seen anything like it before do Robin had a go on a few things!!

The cathedral is wonderful, we get in for 5 euros as we are pilgrims. Really amazing place. It seems that Saturday morning is a good time to get married here. We saw what looked like at least two wedding parties. The women really know how to dress up for a wedding it was hard not to stare. The men not do much!!

A few strange facts about Burgos. The first Irish pub we have seen. Brewdog is here, which seems strange. People get in small pretend racing cars snd get pulled through town hooked up to a car, really odd !

We have already seen lots of people that we haven’t seen for days, its a big pilgrim stopping place.
