Busy day!

I forgot to say that 2 waterbutts turned up yesterday - and today a new wardrobe - which there is no space for so we have put it in the sitting room for now. The carpet man measured up and I chose the carpet - so we are all set on that. The paint looks good in the bedroom so we are going to do the whole house in that colour (I dont have time to think out different colours!). I collected my blackthorn data today - the sky was beautiful. I went to the tip (and saw three red kites right in front of me on the road - they were amazing close up). I planted a lovely mixed hedge in the garden - its a bit late in the season but as the conifer was only removed a few weeks ago I didn't have much choice - I read up all the advice and the answer is WATER! So they are very well watered. I really hope that over the next few years the birds will like the hedge and come to our garden even more. I feel that there is a lot going on - then the builder asked me if I had chosen the slabs for the patio - arghhh - no I haven't even thought about them - better get on with it. In all of this I haven't managed to do any assignment work - I need to start focusing on that over the next few weeks.
