Robin set off early today to go to Chris's flat, the sofa arrived about 10am so he got back in time to be in our house for the Dunelm package. This is for 4 cushion pads which we will use to reupholster Chris and Ellas dining room chairs - bit of a project for all of us!
In the mean time I went over to Uckfield to get the car key sorted out - one of them wasnt working. Luckily it was an easy fix and I was back by 9am. I now help out as a walk volunteer on a Friday at the Railwayland Trust. It is a walk for those prescribed by their doctor, people who willl benefit from a slow walk in a natural surrounding. It is a lovely group of people and I get o walk for 90 minutes round the Railwayland every week, see how it is changung and chat to people - what coudl be better. It was a bit chilly today and really beautiful. Lots of birds about already - we even heard a Cetis warbler - very loud!! In the afternoon we went over to Architectural Plants but discovered that they are only open by appointment - not all lost though as there was a great craft beer place next door and Robin bought a few!!
At about 5pm Chris called - the landlady had been in and used the chub key - the copy that Chris had wasnt working and Robin had the original keys!! So we rushed to the train and met up with him to hand over the keys, just in time for him to get back and open up the flat for his friends who were coming round to take a look! As we were in Brighton we decided to go out for dinner there - so all was not wasted!!
