We went out for the day with Lynne and Dave on their canal boat. Its the first time that we have been to their new marina and it is lovely. Great parking, lovely places to sit on the grass and good facilities for the boats as well. We went out and turned right (a boat had got jammed in a lock in the other direction and they were still sorting it out!). There are quite a few locks and bridges along this stretch of the Kennet and Avon so we all kept busy - doing what Lynne told us! We turned round and moored up for lunch then set off back the way we came. Alex took a turn at steering the boat which he did really well. By the time we got back it was after 5pm so we came home - it had been a long, hot day - the boys slept in the car on the way home!! Wonderful day, cant wait to do it again!
