Canoeing!

We left the seats in place last night so the bed didn’t collapse. A better nights sleep but we were not able to stretch out so still uncomfortanble. We will make another change tonight! We went into Nelson this morning for lunch, great sushi. then drove to Havelock. It is the green lipped mussel capital of the world!! Self proclaimed we think!! We set up in a lively site then walked over to the start of our canoe trip down the river. It was just us and the guide and we had a wonderful time. It’s a class 2 river do not many rapids but it is where they filmed the scene in the second Hobbits movie where the dwarves go down the river in barrels!! No barrels for us but still great canoeing and swimming. The water is so clear that they had to paint the actors legs do you couldn’t see them underneath the barrels. wonderful day!!
