Wildflower Lewes conducts wildflower surveys at this time of year so today I went along to the Cemetery to take part. It was a great experience, luckily I was aired with someone who knows her wildflowers and we had a great couple of hours. We found lots of interesting plants - some that they hadnt spotted there before so that's good. Also lots of butterflies, the part that we were in is the old graveyard and they are not cutting at the moment so it has gone a bit wild! The picture is of cinquefoil - the clues in the name - 5 leaves! Then in the afternoon over to Tom and Laura's house. We are looking after Freya on Fridays while Laura takes Libby for swimming lessons. It is a joy to have Freya to ourselves for an hour or so and so lovely to get to see them all each week. I wish we had had the same opportunity with Libby when she was young - but Covid didnt allow that. T
