This weekend is fair weekend! Today we are at the Charlbury River Festival - a free music festival celebrating its 25th anniversary. We got there early to set up, we have a marquee with WASP (Windrush against River Pollution), Thames Water, and the ECP plus an amazing River Goddess. Rowan who is the willow weaver and organiser has Covid so Ros and I are sorting this all out the best we can! We watched a quick Youtube video on creating willow fish and we were off!! (actually I now love willow fish I might make some for myself!). We had people making the fish, painting pebbles (which was very popular) and adding hair braids to our amazing River Goddess. It was a great day and at the end we processed through the festival with our goddess and a procession of people with musical instruments. It really was amazing (but not my thing - too much talk of mindfullness). We left at 6pm - Ros and I have another fair to go to tomorrow - we will need to come back later on Sunday to pack this one up as it is running again tomorrow. Got home exhausted, microwaved a meal and went to bed.
