It was -7C when I got up this morning - the cats were lovely and toasty though with their new heater, still very pleased that I bought it just in time! We decided to wrap up warm and go for a walk. We walked through Cirencester to Siddington and then down the old canal to South Cerney. It was really beautiful with all the leaves picked out in frost. We stopped at the Eliot arms for lunch - we had been there for one of our practice walks in January - what a change! It was refurbished and reopened about 7 weeks ago - funnily enough it is also an Arkells pub like the Plough - seems like they are investing a lot in their pubs at the moment. Great lunch then back out for the walk. When we got back to Cirencester we walked through the Abbey grounds to get home - found a hare that we hadn't seen before and took a good look at a log that has been carved beautifully. About 20km altogether so not bad for a short walk! Evening spent watching the football at home
