We have an assignment which is to manage the year 1s to do a conservation task for a day. Max and I had chosen reed bed management at the Cotswold Water Park - and today was the day! Basically it meant cutting down willow and putting it into piles - it is amazing how good it feels to do that - very satisfying!

We could not have asked for better weather - it was amazing (the task would have been miserable in the rain!).

Luckily I know quite a lot about the Water Park - so I gave the introduction and Max did the tools talk! We provided tea / coffee and chocolate biscuits - bribery as they had to mark us afterwards! It was a great day and everyone enjoyed it - we also got good feedback and marks so good all round!
