Crayfish

Combe Mill this morning for our next Duke of Edinburgh session. What a lovely day! The first thing we did was to set the crayfish trap - we set it with bacon and left it in the water for a few hours but didn't catch anything - which is not unexpected we really need to leave it overnight. Its probably just as well because we also discovered that if we catch an American crayfish we cant return it to the water as it is in invasive species. I need to look that up properly before we actually catch one! We did some good work clearing up some trip hazards and putting down some chicken wire on the jetty to make it safer. I went back to Wokingham afterwards and Robin and I went for a walk - we really need to start walking more - our Camino is fast approaching!
