Cropreddy Day 1

What a farce this morning! Traffic was absolute chaos and we circled the entrance to Cropreddy for 20 minutes - along with hundreds of other campervans, motorhomes and frustrated drivers! Eventually we were allowed in and it all went smoothly from there - tent up in no time. Fried breakfast and a coffee and a sit in teh sun reading our books! Then we went to have a look around the village. Every year they had a scarecrow competition to raise money for charity - this years theme was Space. They are always fantastic, the homeowners make such an effort! Over to the Brazenose (as usual) for a Thursday lunchtime drink before going onto the site. Somehow it seems busier - which cant be true as they have a limited number of people allowed in - but everyone is having a great time and very relaxed. We got our usual spot with Anne, Derek, Alex and Andy and settled in for the rest of the day. Nile Ridgers and Chic were the headline act this evening - they were great! Although he did mention his Grammy awards a lot - which I guess is fair enough if you are Nile Rodgers!
