Decisions!

Georgina (our interior designer) came round for the first propoer consultation. We had decided to prioritise the downstairs toilet, refit of the bathroom and blinds for the windows so that we can get rid of the shutters. After much discussion about options we have decided against the downstairs toilet. Cliffe is actually a marsh and they built on it by putting in place a network of culverts - one of which runs down by the back of the house (you can see it in the photo). That was one consideration, the other was that it would block out light in the kitchen. Anyway decided against it, its useful to work out what you dont want as much as what you do! The structural surveyor said that when the time comes we could put a lift in the kitchen to the first floor - apparently he is doing loads of these nowadays!! So we will focus on the bathroom and the blinds! Later in the day I went for my first NHS health checkup - all OK apart from my chlorestol which is very slightly high - nothing to worry abotu she said - eat less butter!!
