My second trip to RSPB Farnham as a ranger. It is a beautiful day but surprisingly there were less people than last week and most dogs were on leads. This made me feel much better! We assumed that it was because lockdown has been eased and people now have other places that they can go. We also saw a pair of nuthatches - made my day they are so unusual looking. There was some coppicing being done in one area of the wood and they were using them to replace some of the fencing. Some good conservation going on there - I would like to meet up with the ranger some time and see what plans they have there.
Back to university tomorrow - I started packing up - its amazing how much stuff needs to go back even though I will only be there 4 days a week for the next few weeks!! I am looking forward to getting back at last - although it is a little daunting - somehow it feels a bit like starting there all over again!
