Duke of Edinburgh

We have set up a new Duke of Edinburgh volunteer party at Combe Mill. Today was our first day! We had seven children, 1 Gold, 2 Silver and 4 bronze. They will come to Combe Mill and do volunteer work with us on the habitat restoration once a month, they will then have a project to do and report back on at our next meeting. Today though we had urgent work to do to get the area in shape for our first primary school visit at the end of March. They cleared the paths, and the pond and the woods. And collected a lot of old tree guards - many more of them to collect still. They are a lovely bunch and did an amazing job. Looking forward to meeting up with them again in April!
