I went over to a farm near Lewes with one of the FWAG advisors to take a look at a beautiful 50 acre farm. The lady has owned it since 1999 and has been managing it for diversity ever since. I have to say that I wouldnt really call it a farm, she uses sheep and cows to graze the grass as a management tool rather than for their output. She has done a wonderful job, there were so many insects, you rarely see fields like this any more. She was looking for advice as to what else she could do - there is always something else but she has done an amazing job to date! We found a group of these enormous parasol mushrooms - no scale in the picture but it was about 8 inches across! In the evening we went to Castle Chinese - there are a few Chinese restaurants in Lewes but this one always gets the best reviews. It was good and we will be back!
