Sunday 3rd March 2024

In a few weeks time we are going to Blois with the Lewes Twinning association and the bonfire society. We will take part in their carnival representing Lewes - so of course we will have Fiery Pieces and torches. So today we went to Cliffe yard to get everything sorted out. We built the fiery pieces which means wrapping the wire in sack cloth ready to be dipped and lit when we get to Blois. It was great fun and we met some of the people who will be going along as well.

On the way back we passed the Dripping Pan just in time for the start of the womens game - Lewes against Sheffield United. It was a gripping game - probably the best I have seen - in the end 2 - 1 to Lewes but they all fought hard the whole game. The weather was lovely for once - it makes such a difference when it doesn't rain!!!
