First Day

Monday 14th September 2020

The first day is here and I am less worried than I expected. Noone knows what is going on or what is expected so we are all in it together. The Covid 19 practices are going to make it a very different experience. Masks on at all times indoors, I cant tell what people look like, no one can tell who is talking including the lecturers. Very difficult to make a connection with people – luckily we are on a very practical course so I expect it will work out over time. We did an exercise on why we are at university on this particular course. I know that I want to learn something completely new that I can use to contribute to society and that involves the environment. I am expecting that I can use the skills I gained in previous jobs to be able to make a contribution once I have learnt more! Great first day – really feel that I am in the right place.
