Foggy morning

Saturday 6th February 2021

We set off for our walk at 715 today - before dawn! It was beautiful - we saw hardly anyone for the first hour or so. We walked over to Crowthorne again - about 22km - hardly any of that on the road. The fog didnt lift until about 10am, some of the woods were quite spooky!

Robin managed to see a small mammal - but he didnt know what it was - so sad that my new identification skills didnt get any practice! We picked a birch polypore (big fungus) - apparently they can be used to sharpen knives - like a traditional knife strop - I will let you know how that goes - even Robin is not convinced.
