Forest of Flowers

I watched a video A Forest of Flowers – Home Farm between 2015 - 2018 - Bing video from the Woodland Trust. Its a great story of success, the farmer has planted up 50 acres of woodland and wild flowers, and the video shows the difference over a three year period. There is an amazing increase in biodiversity and as a bonus the trees planted are also surviving and thriving better than some traditional tree planting techniques. In addition it is very popular with the public as it looks so great - positive publicity is really important for conservation - many projects are derailed because the public dont like and/or dont understand what is happening and the benefits that it would bring longer term.

I also found time to get out in the garden to do a little drawing after too long! The sweetpeas are looking great so I tried drawing them - must keep practicing!
