Tuesday 7th June 2022 Day 17
We left before 6 this morning. I love the look of this small house, maybe a hobbit lives there! We walked all the way through town again and then across the valley and up a steep hill. We were rewarded with this site when we reached the top.

It doesn’t really show how steep it was!! Looking in the other direction we saw this the rest of our 24km walk today.

Steep climb down then pretty flat for the rest of the day. As usual we kept ourselves occupied by looking at the crops and birds. We stopped by a field to take a look as we didn’t recognise it and an American stopped to tell us it was alfalfa or Lucerne to us. A hay crop very rich in protein to fatten up your cows!! We came to a stretch of canal which was lovely to walk along, some trees and shade!! Then into Fromista over the canal.

We had a lovely room with our own terrace which had a view of the church and guess what? More stork nests!

Not much in Fromista which is the story of many of the village. Later on we saw Marrianne, Mellisa, Sam,Geoffrey and Alan.
I also had a lovely call with Chris, really nice to hear his voice and hear what they are up to.
Amazing photos Ruth!
