Another 2 trips to the tip this morning and that was enough - there is a limit to how much you can throw out in one go! Yesterday was world fungi day so we decided to go for a walk in the lovely weather and watch out for fungi. Over at Holt Copse we saw an amazing amount of different fungi within just 10 minutes. Just a small sample in the pictures above. The only one that I can definitely identify is the one on the right - King Alfreds Cake also known as coal fungus. It burns really slowly and apparently was used to carry fire from one place to another.

We also found this fungus on our walk - Robin's hand for scale. It was enormous, we have not seen anything like it before.

In the evening we went to the Everyman cinema to watch Amsterdam. It has a star cast and a good story as the background, but it was not a good film - not sure where they went wrong but it got poor reviews and deserved them!
