Granddaughters!

Monday 6th January 2025

Monday is looking after grandchildren day!! Normally we walk Libby to school in the morning and pick her up at 3, but today was an inset day so she was with us and Freya all day! It was a miserable day so no going to the park but we did make them walk into Hassocks to go shopping and go to the cafe. Not sure how keen Libby really was but she did it! We also visited the library which she did love! Later she thrashed Robin at dominoes (3 nil to her!) and made Paw Patrol cup cakes with me! Freya also had a lovely day! Laura was home a little early so we drove home while it was mostly light - what a difference it makes - cant wait for the days to get longer!

I continued with my knitting in the evening - at last I have finished the colour work and split the sleeves off. I just need to knit the actual jumper now. I am not sure about it - I may have to give it to someone smaller! But it has taught me a lesson about picking patterns that dont use such thin wool and that have two colour rather than three!!
