Hampton Court

Alex is staying with us for a few says so we both went to Hampton Court Flower show on Friday. We got there at opening time and it was great, not too many people and we got a good look at the show gardens and the marquee before anyone else turned up. I really like the small show gardens best. They were not only achievable but also showed what you can do with a very small courtyard space. The big show gardens are too much, so professional that you wouldn't be able to copy it in your own garden. They also had an allotment area which was really interesting - some I liked, some not so much! We bought an ice cream and then discovered that their card machines weren't working. I had no cash, so we ate the ice creams before they melted and then found a cash machine and went back. It just shows how reliant we are on the wifi working - and also a reminder to always have a bit of cash! Then it was too hot and there were too many people so we came home.

This was in the Hampton Court garden on the way out - absolutely amazing (in their Tilting lawn area!). It reminds me what lovely gardens they have here - must come back and take a look around.
