I made a start!

I made a start today on my Pocket Sketchbook project. I mentioned before that it is birds this month which does make it easier for me! I tried out a few different ideas - I am still drawing them in a traditional sketchbook rather than a concertina - not quite brave enough for that yet.

The blue tit is a really big improvement on the one I did last year. Overall I am pleased with todays work - not ready to share it with the group yet though - they are all so good! I have time this weekend to do some more so lets see how that goes!

We went for a walk this morning - lots of redwings as usual. We did also see some fieldfares, a dunnock and a bullfinch. Then we got home and had goldfinches and another dunnock in the garden. The birds are really starting to get active - we also saw a pair of house sparrows starting to biuld a nest in the roof of someones house!
