Interview

Wednesday 19th April 2023

Today I had a second interview for the assistant farm advisor role with FWAG South East. I knew it was a farm walk and had prepared but it was a bit of a grilling. They were really nice people and we did 1.5 hours farm walk and 1.5 hours interview (plus id tests on the laptop and out in the field). Its difficult to know how I did - definitely didnt get all of them right but who knows what they are looking for. At the end of the interview I realised that I didnt want the job! I didnt tell them there as I needed to have a think about it, but they expect me to be in the office 1 day a week, which doesn't sound to bad until you realise that the nearest office is 1 hour 40 minutes drive away (out of peak hours!). I was expecting to travel to farms but not this far to the office. Its not for me - I have done my fair share of travel for work and don't need to do it now!

This is a picture of the town hall set up for the local Toad championship this week - we missed it which made me quite sad! Hopefully we can get there next year! I think it mainly involves drinking beer!
