Last few days

Monday 10th May 2021

Back to the cottage today as I needed to attend a manual handling course (is there anything more boring - there must be better ways of doing it!). I am also staying here for a few days to concentrate on finishing my timed assignment.

I took a walk this afternoon over to the farm where we put up the bird boxes back in December. Actually I couldn't see any activity - our bird boxes have chippings and marks all over the holes but nothing here. I did see a lot of swallows over the ploughed field which was great.

It reminded me how beautiful it is here and what an amazing first year at university it has been. While Covid did not help it also didn't stop me from enjoying this experience so much. I love it here - in my cottage, at the university, learning new things and enjoying nature more because I understand it more.

Now back to that assignment!
