We went into London today - not many people on the train or underground at 10 in the morning! We went over to Bethnal Green to go to the Young V&A Young V&A (vam.ac.uk). Robin wanted to take a look at a Noahs Ark that they have here. The museum was packed - never seen so many pushchairs parked up in my life!! We found the Ark quite easily - Robin has decided that he will make one that looks a bit like this one. Maybe his New Year resolution can be to start the Ark! We also found some Barbies - I think there might be a home for Laura's collection of Barbies after all! And an amazing room with lots and lots of dolls houses! The museum also had a lot of childrens interactive areas - we didnt go to them! Then we walked across London - we were going to stop at Borough market for lunch but all of London's tourists were there doing exactly that! So we found a lovely Portugese restaurant tucked under one of the railway arches and ate there - delicious!

Our next stop was the War Museum. I wanted to see the recently opened war art gallery that they have opened. It was wonderful (if that can be said about war art). Really great paintings and drawings - this was my favourite. Christopher Richard Wynn Nevinson - French Troops resting 1916. Again the museum was packed - I do wonder why they dont charge for entry. Off back home - thats enough museums for one day!
