Lovely day!

We went over to Brighton to look after Libby and Freya for the day while Tom and Laura went out (on their own!!). Robin had brought over a book on making entertaining food for children - if you know what I mean. So he and Libby decided to make a pig sandwich - it looked great!! Libby wasn't so keen to actually eat it so we did that for her! Later we went out to the park to help Freya have a nap - it was a really cold day but Libby wanted a Magnum icecream - she did a really good job of eating it!! We had a lovely day with them and I think that Tom and Laura enjoyed their day out as well!! Look forward to doing it again soon. We borrowed a Christmas tree stand from them so now we are ready to get the tree!! On the way back we had transport problems - the buses werent coming into the centre of Brighton as there was too much congestion - it was really busy, you could really tell that everyone had started their Christmas shopping! So we went to catch the train instead - just got the last train to Lewes at 18:01 which was very lucky - train strikes were just about to start! Got hoem and watched Slow Horses - a good end to a great day!
