Drove back from Charlotte and Elliotts, it took ages - the M25 is just a nightmare! In the afternoon we went over to Mitchelham Priory. Its a lovely place - the last time we went there the children all still lived at home! We went today because the The Sussex Guild were having their craft show there. They are all amazing craftsmen (no tat here!). We went to see the lady who embroiders lampshades - we have one of hers already and want to commission another for the bedroom - I really like this one on the left so hopefully she can make one like that for us (but bigger!). We also loved the wooden carved owl - he has done such an amazing job on it - but it would take up our whole garden! We looked around the garden as well - it is a lovely place. But although the picture above is pretty this is actually the moat that surrounds the Priory - it would be even lovelier if they could restore it - but that would be an enormous amount of work and is unlikely to happen!
