Today I go to university – for the first time in my life - at a grand old age. Off to the Royal Agricultural University to study British Wildlife Conservation. An hour and 20 minutes drive is a long time to think. I worried about all sorts. Will I be able to do it? Its been a very long time since I wrote an essay or took an exam. Will there be someone else in the accommodation? And if so is that a good thing or not? How will I cope/fit in as a mature student? Then I thought about lots of other things that I have done in my life – some much scarier than this and they all worked out OK – no reason that this wont be the same! I need to continue to remember why I am doing this. Got to the cottage and there was no one there – relieved in some ways but disappointed in others.
