I thought we were in Wales but apparently not, we are very close to the border though! Today we went to https://www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/places/goodrich-castle/ It’s a medieval castle on the Welsh border with a commanding view of the Wye valley. Although it’s a ruin now, there is lots to see and it is very impressive.
We also went to Ledbury and Ross-on-Wye (trying to fit in as much as possible). Ledbury is very posh. lots of great shops and people spending money. We bought some good presents and cards there. We also went to Wallers butchers (where mum used to go when she lived in Malvern) to get goodies for the evening BbQ. Ross was a bit different. Lovely place on the river but a lot of pubs and shops are closed and don’t look like they will open again. I always wonder what makes some places successful and others not.
