No bats!

I went over to Guilford University this evening for a bat survey - start time 20:15 stop time midnight. We had three small buildings to survey so there were 6 of us, each person gets two sides of one building. I got this one and sat on a hill in a bed of nettles for 2.5 hours. Which I don't mind but there were no bats! There was a lot of light pollution from the buildings and walkways so its not really suprising. One of the other girls had an interesting night, she as obviously sat where the local deer usually go. She saw lots of them, she says they make very strange noises when its dark! Hoping for more bats next week!
