Off we go!

Got up early this morning even though we didn’t need to, last minute tidying up and then off. I had nightmares last night about missing the plane but we got there really early so off for a glass of wine and a beer at 1130, always the same at airports!! I spent the time on the train reading the Brierley book on the Camino, it’s the one we will follow for the walk. He spends quite a lot of time asking about your reason for walking the Camino and about spirituality. His first question is why is it a pilgrimage and not a long walk? Which is a good question. Not sure I have the answer. I found that I spent my time looking at other people on the plane wondering if they were pilgrims too.

We made it to Biarritz where the toilet doesn’t work in the bedroom. They are trying to fix it now! In the mean time I washed our socks(!) start as we mean to go on we need to wash clothes every day!
