last night at dinner each of us had to stand up and say our name, where we came from and why we were on the Camino. We are hoping it will help us work out what to do next with our lives, which was quite common. Some people were very emotional, it’s a journey that means a lot to people.

Today we set off in the drizzle and it was amazing we were so grateful for the cool weather. Round the corner and we ran into some amazing cows!

We were all set with our ponchos, a strange but very effective object!! We walked uphill for a long way, extremely grateful that we didn’t try and do this all in one day. Eventually we reached the top and could look over the other side in Spain.

The route down was about 5km and hard on the knees. I picked up a stick to use on the way down and was very grateful for it. At last we got to Roncevalles and checked into the hostel, it is huge!! The walk was good and we had a great chance to talk to people along the way. The hostel has a nice man who will wash your clothes for 4 euros, too good and opportunity so we have him as much as we could!!
